Independent Wind Turbine Inspections
Realise Energy Services are able to carry out independent wind turbine inspections for a range of customers whether they be potential buyers of existing operational assets, a lender considering refinancing a project on behalf of their customer, an insurance company reviewing their insurance provision of perhaps the turbine’s owner wanting to understand the condition of their asset and the potential for any optimisation in its performance.
An inspection comprises four main parts:
- Technical review and assessment of all turbine documentation provided including manufacturer’s documentation and service history.
- Taking into account the relevant information within the above documentation, we then carry out a full visual inspection of the turbine including mechanical, electrical and hydraulic components, main turbine structure (tower, nacelle and blades), any ancillary equipment (substations, transformer and switchgear and metering) and general site condition, access and security.
- Function test of main electrical, hydraulic systems and pitch mechanism (where relevant) and record and assess results.
- Preparation and provision of a detailed report including analysis of technical documentation, turbine inspection and function test report and summary of areas requiring further investigation.
